Food as Medicine Speaker Series Event

On October 20, 2016, ResU hosted Thinking Out Loud: Food as Medicine as part of the Speaker Series events. Over 100 people attended on site and online to listen to a panel of experts talk about the ways in which food impacts health. Attendees of the event learned about simple steps to a healthier life by focusing on the way in which the foods they eat, impacts their health from guest speakers, Kristine Tohtz, DC, DABCA, MsAC, David W. Miller, MD, and Eric Meredith, MEd, MS, RD, CHES, CPT. Afterwards, Chef Eric held a cooking demonstration to show the audience how to prepare healthy spring rolls and discussed how the various ingredients fulfilled important nutritional components.
