If you’re currently an RN, ResU offers an MSN program just for you.
ResU’s post-license nursing program now has a new focus that will better prepare you to enter the door leading to the highest levels of nursing! We listened to feedback from associate degree nurses all the way up to nurse leaders and considered the future needs of healthcare. From this, we conclude that nurses need to be better trained to face healthcare issues on the horizon. Nurses will benefit from not only a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, but a Master of Science in Nursing degree as well.
Our flexible program is designed to build upon your initial nursing education and foster growth and development in the profession. Registered nurses who have previously earned an associated degree in nursing are now able to prepare for a better career by pursuing a BSN and MSN degree in one program! Positions as a Registered Nurse make it one of The Top 100 Best Jobs according to U.S. News and World Report! A BSN and and MSN will open the door for even more opportunities.
The RN to MSN program:
Students will take seven (7) undergraduate-level courses designed to bridge the gap between the nurse’s RN coursework and graduate level coursework. The time to complete the bridge portion is typically 12-15 months. Upon satisfactory completion, students will earn the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and may be admitted directly into the MSN program of their choice. Current MSN Offerings are: Nurse Practitioner (Adult Gerontological or Family), Nurse Educator, and Health Systems Leadership. For those students who do not wish to move into the graduate portion of the program, they may elect to terminate their program after taking the bridge courses and graduate with the BSN. If at a later date the student wishes to complete their graduate studies, they would simply need to apply for the direct-entry MSN degree.
